Bryan Fuller Dreams of Making Silence of the Lambs Miniseries with Zendaya

According to CinemaDrame News Agency, Bryan Fuller, creator of the series Hannibal, has revealed his dream of making a Silence of the Lambs miniseries starring Zendaya as Clarice Starling. The filmmaker recently reunited with Mads Mikkelsen in his feature directorial debut Dust Bunny, marking their first collaboration since Hannibal.

Despite years of speculation, Fuller remains hopeful about bringing Hannibal back to television. He told Screen Rant: “My dream project is a Silence of the Lambs miniseries with Mads and Zendaya as Clarice Starling. If I could add something to that world, this is what I would add.”

The reason Hannibal on NBC never covered the events of The Silence of the Lambs is that the rights to those characters are held by MGM and the De Laurentiis Company. That studio recently produced the standalone series Clarice for CBS. The show, serving as a sequel to the Silence of the Lambs film, ended after one season.

Since Hannibal’s cancellation in 2015, Fuller has repeatedly expressed his hope for a revival, though no significant progress has been made. Hannibal ran for three seasons from 2013 to 2015.
